Available Scholarships
Scholarships: Money available to college students from various community organizations and businesses. They are competitively awarded to applicants based on academic or other specific submissions and achievements. Ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars, scholarships can help cushion the cost of books and supplies or can fund your entire semester’s tuition.
Different scholarships are available at different times throughout the year, so it is important to check this page regularly.

AGA Guam Chapter Herminia Dierking Scholarship - University of Guam
Overview
The Herminia Dierking Scholarship program is sponsored and funded jointly by the AGA Guam Chapter and private sector contributors in recognition of the achievements of the late Herminia H. Dierking, a Legislator, Educator, Humanitarian, Past President of AGA Guam Chapter, Past Regional Vice President of AGA Pacific Rim, and a past recipient of the AGA National Chapter Service award. This Scholarship is open to students who intend to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration at the University of Guam (UOG).
Benefit
A total of $3,000 in scholarship funds will be awarded to two (2) undergraduate students ($1,500 for each recipient) at UOG who exhibited academic excellence in the Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration disciplines. (Subject to availability of funds).
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a full time (12 credit minimum) incoming Junior or Senior enrolled in the UOG School of Business and Public Administration with a major in Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration.
- The applicant must have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) of 3.0 as of Fall Semester 2024.
- The applicant must submit an essay as evidence of his/her commitment in promoting accountability and transparency in the government environment.
- The applicant must demonstrate desire to excel and plans to graduate with a major in Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration disciplines.
- Award winners will be required to participate in at least one AGA community service project.
- Past AGA Guam Chapter scholarship recipients are not eligible.
- Awards will be issued to the University on your behalf to off-set the cost of tuition, fees, and books.
Application Procedure
Complete and submit the electronic Scholarship Application Form to include all supporting documents for eligibility by 5:00 p.m. March 31, 2025.

- Written Essay Submittal
- Copy of most current transcript as of Fall semester 2024– may submit transcript from student website. Note: transcript MUST show all classes taken and cumulative G.P.A.
** Transcript, Major, and G.P.A. are subject to validation by the Registrar’s Office.
Screening Process
Step 1.
UOG FAO will pre-screen all applications for eligibility and forward five (5) finalists for selection to the AGA Scholarship Committee by April 7, 2025.
Step 2.
The Scholarship Committee may interview the finalists. If interviews are conducted, it will be concluded before April 14, 2025. The evaluation of the final applicants will emphasize each applicant’s long-term goals consistent with promoting excellence in Accounting, Business Administration, or Public Administration disciplines.
Step 3.
The Scholarship Committee shall select the two (2) recipients. The Scholarship winners shall be introduced to AGA, UOG President, and the private contributors at the AGA General Membership Meeting.
Scholarship Selection Criteria:
- The applicant essay submission will be evaluated based on the AGA essay requirements
- Part of the AGA Guam Chapter’s strategic theme for the program year is about “Leveling Up Accountability.” How can government agencies elevate accountability and transparency to better serve the public?

Scholarship Committee
The Committee shall compose of members from UOG and AGA. The selection(s) made by the Committee shall be final. This Scholarship Information has been approved by the AGA GuamChapter through its Scholarship Committee and the UOG Financial Aid Office
Rotary International District 2750 - Pacific Basin Group (PBG) Friendship Scholarship (AY 24-25 / 25-26)
Purpose
The Rotary Club of Tokyo-West is sponsoring a scholarship program for citizens of the Micronesia Region who are officially qualified to attend the University of Guam. The scholarship is awarded primarily to encourage students from this region to pursue a higher education and give them an opportunity to become a leader in their (home) island community.
AMOUNT AND NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS
A total award of $10,000 (less administrative processing fee) will be given to one student to cover up to two academic years at the University of Guam. The scholarship award will be prorated across the balance of the student awardee’s undergraduate program, for a maximum of two academic years, and will be awarded at the beginning of each qualifying semester. Certification of enrollment must be provided to the scholarship committee prior to distribution of the awards.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- This scholarship is open to all undergraduates within their last 60 credit hours of their undergraduate degree program at the University of Guam, who are citizens of either the Federated States of Micronesia, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, or Palau.
- To maintain eligibility for the scholarship, a recipient must be a full-time student enrolled at UOG (or transferring to University of Guam from a 2-year college in their island or country) maintaining academic progress toward a degree, with a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0.
- Applicant must show evidence of financial need. This is to be determined by the Financial Aid Office of the University of Guam.
- Applicant must not be a recipient of any other type of private or national scholarship.
- Immediate family members of Rotary Club Members are not eligible to participate or receive this scholarship.
- Outside Guam applicants can be interviewed by the Rotary Club of his/her country, and the Rotary Club can write recommendation and send it to the University of Guam Financial Aid Office (c/o Private Scholarship Coordinators).

QPT3 Scholarship
The QPT3 scholarship is a scholarship offered to UOG and GCC students. Awardees are provided an award amount to be determined by the donor at a later time.

Recurring Scholarships
The Filipino Ladies Association of Guam (FLAG) Scholarship - Fall 2022
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Guam or a U.S. Citizen.
- Be an enrolled full-time undergraduate, junior or senior level student at the University of Guam and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00
- Must be of good moral character and have no criminal record.
- Must not be a recipient of any other private scholarship.
- The applicant’s sex, race, ethnic group, or religion plays no factor in the selection of the recipient.
Amount: Two awards of $500 each

Guam Chamber of Commerce Dave J. Santos Scholarship
- Full-time (13 credit minimum) incoming juniors or seniors enrolled in the School of Business & Public Administration
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Must have graduated from a Guam high school or have resided in Guam for the last two years
- Students who can evidence knowledge and desire to excel as an entrepreneur in Guam
- History of entrepreneurship or private sector experience helpful
Amount: Two awards of $1,000 each and a paid internship

- Students admitted to the Micronesian Studies Master of Arts Program at the University of Guam.
- Resident of Guam, the Freely Associated States (Republic of the Marshall Islands; Federated States of Micronesia; Republic of Palau), or the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands.

Recurring State Scholarships for Students from Micronesian Islands
Federated States of Micronesia National Scholarship
Full-time (taking at least 12 credits for undergraduates or 6 credits for graduate students) students from the FSM with a minimum 2.0 GPA for undergraduates and 3.0 for graduate students who plan to return to the FSM to work in their field of study for one year for every year awarded.
(Note: Credits are counted if a student receives an "F" but not if a student receives a “W.")

Palau National Scholarship
Palauan citizens attending UOG on a full-time basis (earning at least 24 credits each academic year) who will return to Palau to work after graduation. Applicants must have declared a major and be in their junior or senior year. Must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA.
