4-H Christmas Break Camps 2023
Dec. 18-22 and Dec. 26-29, 2023
Children ages 7 to 14 years old can take part in several fun learning opportunities over their Christmas break with the 4-H Youth Enrichment Programs being offered by University of Guam’s Cooperative Extension & Outreach service.
The week-long enrichment camps will engage youth in hands-on activities including fishing, growing plants, bug collection, aviation, and science experiments. Parents may enroll their children in one or more of the following:
Junior Fisheries
Junior Fisheries
Ages: 7 – 9 years old
Time: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Dates: Dec. 18 – 22

This camp immerses youth in the dynamic world of fishing, teaching a broad spectrum of essential skills and knowledge. Beyond the basics of fishing safety, participants delve into the intricacies of fishing practices, gaining valuable insights into oceanography and the interconnected concept of "ridge to reef."
This comprehensive program not only imparts practical skills for a lifelong engagement with fishing, but also nurtures a passion for continuous learning. Moreover, it opens doors to potential college and career pathways in marine science and seamanship.

Step into the exciting world of forensic science! This program aims to instill a positive attitude and enrich youth's knowledge of crime scene investigation. Participants will piece together clues, decode forensic science terms, and solve crimes in a challenging, immersive experience. Beyond the thrill of investigation, students will discover the diverse branches of STEM involved in solving crimes, including DNA extraction and identifying chemical properties.
